All the little details One Room Challenge week five

Hello there! Are you new here? Welcome! This post is for the ORC challenge I’m participating in. Not familiar?

The One Room Challenge is a 6-week event that includes 20 “Challenge Participants” and hundreds of other “Guest Participants” (that’s me!).  All of us have the goal of transforming our spaces with only six weeks to get it done.  A huge thank you to Linda, from Calling it Home, for organizing the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE! And a shout out to the two great media sponsors for this event, Better Homes and Gardens and Home Love Network.  They will be picking their favorites to showcase as we all cheer each other on to the finish line. Exciting right?!?!?.

You can follow my Guest Room progress here:

Week one / Week two / Week three / Week four

And on to week five! This week is all about the details.

We finished the closet doors! I’ll put a tutorial up later this week, and I have to say LOVE how they turned out. A nice update for very little money. Here they are before and ALMOST finished.

We decided on a platform bed for the space as our mattress and box spring combo was freakishly high (and covering too much of the wallpaper). I LOVE the way it looks, and it was super easy to assemble.

I also found some nice little accessories and a rug that I will be using to style the room. A minor setback with the lights I ordered (they were hard-wired) totally my fault, but I’m not sure I can find the plug-in version I want, and the electrician can’t convert the ones I love. Sigh.

The only things left to check off are some cleaning and styling….plus photos! So stay tuned next week for the final reveal (just in time for some Thanksgiving guests). Boom!
