Today, I’m popping in to show you how I pulled together a pretty wreath wall in my home for the Holidays. I love a good wreath DIY, and I’ve been known to swoon over a beautiful foraged wreath. So, what’s a girl to do if she ends up with an extensive collection of wreaths? Let’s take a peek at how to make a wall display with wreaths, Christmas Edition.

This season, while planning my holiday decor, I was looking for a front door wreath. I found a gorgeous one from Anthropologie and quickly placed my order. A few days later, they sent me a notice that it was backordered. I hopped back online and chose a different wreath and canceled the first order—because, of course, I have zero patience when it comes to Christmas decor! A few days after that, I was out shopping and came across the most amazing “real touch” wreath, and it was in my cart faster than you can say “ooh!”

So, to make this now-rambling story shorter… Anthropologie sent both wreaths just a few days later! Now I had three contenders for my front door, plus the DIY Moss wreath I made last year. When I laid them out on the table to decide, I thought to myself, “These are all so pretty, I’d really like to use all of them.” An idea was born!
When I was looking at my wreaths, I liked the colors that I had, and I knew I needed to add some additional texture and a few different sizes. It’s important to balance all three of those elements to have your wall look curated and interesting—not like a store display.
Another consideration when choosing your wreaths is your room’s color scheme. For my space, I normally love a good neutral, but I wanted it to feel festive and lean holiday without being all green and red.
So, I had gathered four perfect wreaths, but I wanted at least five for my wall. I decided to DIY a wreath to tie in some more color and to feel a bit more Christmas-y. You can see the DIY here.

This wreath is another DIY that is super easy to pull together. It’s green reindeer moss hot-glued onto a styrofoam wreath. This is the Anthropoligie version if you want to purchase one intsead of making your own.

And because I was looking for some added texture I made this grapevine wreath by adding a few pieces of Moss and some Dried Nigella I had on hand.

Make a plan before hanging. I like to lay the whole arrangement out on the floor first. I started with my largest wreath (the Faux greenery), which became the main focal point. You can make your arrangement look symmetrical or asymmetrical; let your creativity guide you here.

I am working with the wood trim on my wall as well as the space between the doorway and the end of the wall. I’m not going for full-on symmetry, but more of a casual feel.

As you are hanging the wreaths take a step back to check if you like the placement. I knew at this point of hanging the wreaths that I wanted to add one more. So be sure to tweak as necessary.

I used these command hooks for two reasons: one, I had them on hand, and two, they work!

You could also use invisible thread to hang your wreaths, or in my case, since I am hanging mine for the holidays velvet ribbon is both a festive touch and holds the wreaths securely.

My house is small, and I really wanted the wreath wall to be the focal point of our living areas this season—our tree is actually tucked into our home office! I did consider hanging the wreaths going up our stairwell. This would be lovely anywhere you have space! I’d especially love to see a version hung over a bed in a Christmas Bedroom.

Wreath Wall Decor is easily changed out for the seasons. You could go with a natural vibe and leave it up all year. You could go seasonal and switch it up for Spring and Fall (how pretty would fall wreaths be). You can shop some of my Favorite Holiday wreaths here.

So there you have it! The solution to having too many beautiful wreaths isn’t to choose just one, but to use them all. My wreath wall ended up being the perfect festive focal point for our living area this Christmas season.
I hope this inspires you to gather your favorites and create a charming, personalized wall display in your own home this holiday!
Until next time,
-Libbie
