I have always been a design geek. I can’t remember a time that I wasn’t trying to put my personal stamp on my living spaces, DIY’ing something I couldn’t find or couldn’t afford to buy, and last year where we renovated a distressed property into an Airbnb. A Life Unfolding is where I share design, decor, DIY’s, and all things home.
Apple Cider Pomegranate Spritz- The perfect Fall into Winter Cocktail
Today, I am sharing one of my favorite Fall cocktail recipes. It uses apple cider, which is plentiful at all the roadside stands and farmers’ markets this time of year. It seems like we always have Apple Cider on hand through the holidays, and because the pomegranate juice adds a nice tang, it works great for a Thanksgiving dinner cocktail. Let’s make an Apple Cider Pomegranate Spritz!
Fresh rosemary sprigs -these add a lovely balance to the drink.
Pomegranate seeds, for garnish
Putting the Cocktail Together:
Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
Squeeze your lime juice into the shaker
Pour in Vodka, Pomegranate juice, and Apple cider
Shake the mixture vigorously until well-chilled.
Strain the drink into two glasses filled with fresh ice.
Top each glass with a splash of club soda.
Add a Spring of Fresh Rosemary and stir.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds, if desired.
Enjoy! I love a pretty cocktail that is easy to pull together. This is actually a pretty versatile cocktail. I like to serve this minus the club soda, which makes it more of a “punch” for Christmas.
Variations and Substitutions:
You can make your Apple Cider Pomegranate Spritzer “spicy” by adding:
1/2 inch fresh ginger, sliced
2 sticks of cinnamon
Rind from 1/2 an orange
Substitutions:
These are easy swaps if you are working with what you have on hand.
Swap Cranberry juice for Pomegranate juice. Garnish with cranberries.
Instead of Club Soda, use Sparkling water
La Criox in Cranberry or Lime Flavors in place of the club soda.
