Welcome! Today I am excited to share a Christmas wreath I recently made. It was super easy to put together and turned out so pretty. I think you’ll be tempted to make a wreath yourself! How to DIY a Christmas Wreath with Dried Fruit and Flowers. Let’s get right to it!

First, let’s gather your supplies and clear a spot to work—as you can see from my photos, I could have done a much better job at this! 😉 I’m a fan of placing all the components in nearby piles so I can quickly see what I have to work with.

Let’s get started. To begin, I took my wreath form. I am using a woven white wreath that was left over from a previous project. I would normally use a grapevine wreath for this project.
You can dry your own fruits, or, like I was this year, be a bit lazy and buy them. Every few years, I like to dry fruits and stock up for the holidays. When I do, I use a dehydrator that my daughter gave me a few years ago. If you don’t have a dehydrator, this oven method is my go-to recipe:
Let’s get started!
Hot-glue the entire wreath form with moss. Since this is a base layer, I completed it quickly. I wrapped all the visible wreath forms, but left the back mossless (is that a word??) so that it would lie nicely against the wall. If you plan to display the back of the wreath (such as hanging it in a window), then cover it completely with moss.

Once my wreath was wrapped with moss, I began adding the pretty details. I love the color combo of pink, green, and orange, and using dried fruit feels like the holidays to me! Start by using the whole limes. I didn’t get a picture of this, but I highly recommend running a floral wire through the limes to secure them before using hot glue. The limes are heavy enough that they will fall off or flop around, and you don’t want that to happen.
Next up, I added a variety of moss and the orange sl ces. The moss adds some nice texture and a pop of color to the wreath. The final step was adding the pink Peonies. I loved how the purple moss added a pretty contrast to the peonies and dried fruit.

💡 TIP: If you have a lazy Susan for cake decorating, this is an excellent tool for making wreaths. Just spin it around as you work!

Work your way around the wreath until you are satisfied with the way it looks. Make sure you don’t have any bare spots you don’t want. (If I were using a grapevine wreath, I might let the grapevine peek through on purpose!) But I tucked more moss into my bare spots.

That is all there is to it! This took me a total of 30 minutes, and that was with taking two short breaks to whine about burning my thumb. 😉 When you’re done, go back through your wreath and remove any stray strands of hot glue that somehow always end up all over my projects.

To keep your wreath looking gorgeous:

That’s it for my Christmas wreath with dried fruit and Flowers. I hope you are inspired to make your own. If you do, be sure to send me a pic or tag me on Instagram!

Until next time,
