I am often asked where I purchased something in my home or one of our Airbnbs. It’s my number one question that I get from blog readers, too. I have to say, I do spend a LOT of time shopping! Living in a rural community, we don’t even have a Target within an hour’s drive. I’ve had to become resourceful. So I’ve compiled lists over the years. Whether I’m looking for the perfect set of salt and pepper grinders or beautiful new pillow covers, I’ve spent so much time sourcing. Today, I thought I’d finally spill the beans on some of my favorite places to shop for unique home goods online.
There’s nothing better than shopping from a designer’s curation. These are tried-and-true professionals gifted with an amazing eye, and their online shops offer direct access to it. These shopowners are curating pieces that they’ve either used in their beautifully designed spaces or have found while sourcing for high-end clients. Shopping from them allows you to achieve that high-end, thoughtfully collected aesthetic – from your sofa!

These are the places I go when I want to find that special piece that not everyone on the block is going to have (which, let’s be honest, is what we all want in our homes!). These shops offer items that feel handcrafted and special, often at price points that can be higher than those of a big-box store but are totally manageable for a truly special accent piece.
You can shop a selection of my curated favorites from these stores here:
If you have followed me for a while, you know I am a lover of using vintage pieces in the home. Why? Vintage items add a layered, curated, and textural feel to a space that you simply cannot achieve by buying everything new. Walk into a home that feels like a hug; it’s usually a home layered with vintage. The pieces tell stories. The following shops do the hard work for you by mixing in one-of-a-kind antique finds with their modern goods, giving your home instant character.

Shoppe Amber Interiors (Amber Lewis): If you’re love that laid-back, California-cool look, this is the place. It’s all about natural materials, vintage textiles, and an effortlessly chic, light-filled aesthetic. Pricey but made to last. I shop the sales.
McGee & Co. (Studio McGee/Shea McGee): Shea McGee nails “Transistional” style—blending traditional, timeless design with a fresh, modern sensibility. You can trust them for quality, balanced palettes, and beautiful texture.
Serena & Lily: This is the definition of coastal, chic elegance. Their pieces use a soothing palette of whites and blues, and gorgeous natural materials like rattan to create a sophisticated, airy retreat. One of my favorites for our cottages.
Lulu and Georgia: I love that they partner with incredible designers (Sarah Sherman Samuel is a favorite) to offer exclusive collections that feel curated and comfortable. They focus on layered textures and transitional styles with just a hint of quirk, that work in almost any home.

These shops are still among my go-tos and deserve a shout-out for unique or seasonal items! You will find some favorite manufacturers. Creative Co-Op, Bloomingville, Mudpie, and more.

So there you have it—my personal, most-used list for sourcing those unique home goods online. The pieces that make a house feel like a home (or a cozy Airbnb!). I’ve spent years hunting down these gems, and I’m excited for you to start exploring them too! Happy decorating! Don’t forget to let me know in the comments if you find a new favorite piece.
Until next time,
-Libbie
