Okay, here we go again!
Even though we said we were done for awhile….surprise! We went and bought the little green cottage next door.
At least this time she is a tiny little thing. Renovating all 542 square feet of her can’t be that bad right?!?! I’d like to think she has good bones but honestly we are going to have to put some money into her foundation before I can make that claim.

New cabinets, appliances and maybe even squishing in a dishwasher would be on my wish list for the kitchen. And I think she needs a Smeg fridge like we put in our last cottage renovation for sure!
A loveseat and chair will face the fireplace (that actually works) and I really hope to be able to keep the pretty bookcases. Renovating a cottage that is in this kind of shape is not for the faint of heart that’s for sure!
My husband thinks I’ve lost my mind but I think the bathroom is in better shape than I would have thought! It’s a porcelain tub so I hope to keep it and I have a striped tile idea for the walls. I still LOVE the striped tile I used in the Ellery and Third kitchen renovation and this will feel “cottagey” but be a bit bolder.
Yeah, well now that I am looking at these pics…I’m feeling a little less confident.
LOL. kidding! Renovating a cottage is not for the faint of heart but I totally see how pretty she is going to be (once I figure out some walls and a door here).
For 542 square feet she actually has some nice storage space.
Bedroom number two maybe??
Who knows. It would also be a nice tiny office space. When you are renovating to the studs we can see what works when we get in there.
You may be asking why would they buy this falling down shack?!?!?
Well for one thing she has a lovely view.
And she has terrific next door neighbors! You can tour the Ellery and Third house here.

We are still in the infancy of planning but I am excited to see where this little cottage renovation takes us!
Until next time,
-Libbie
