Woot Woot! It’s week five of our small deck refresh, and we are feeling good! We also painted the shed door, and I adore the pop of color. And we finally got a break from the weather, so we finished our Living Wall! We still have a few items we are waiting to arrive, and I am still searching for some accessories, but overall I am feeling confident.
You can follow our progress here:
Week One/Week Two/Week Three/ Week Four
We painted the shed door this week, and I love how the color (SW Salty Dog) makes the cedar shingles pop. It’s also a great color with the green siding on the house. It is also the same color as the front door, which will tie the spaces together.
The One Room Challenge is eight weeks this season, and since we are working around having guests at Airbnb, we are really grateful. I was excited that we got a weather break (It has been cold here in Michigan) during an opening in our calendar. So we were able to get the living wall planted. I am thrilled with how it turned out. You can see the step-by-step process for the living wall here.
I am hoping our guests love the space as much as I am!
Well, that is our update for this week! But, don’t forget to check out the featured designers and my fellow participants to see how their projects are coming along. The creativity is amazing!
A HUGE Thank you to the team at ORC and their media partner Better Homes and Gardens.
I’d also like to thank the companies that sponsored this round of the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE. They made this deck refresh possible, and it’s going to be so so good!
Until next week,
-Libbie
This looks great, I love a good plant wall!! Can’t wait to see it all come together 🙂

This looks fabulous! We have a grid of planter boxes on one fence wall, but when it’s time to replace it, I’ll go big like this!
