All about the walls-One Room Challenge week four

Hello! I am popping in to give a quick One Room Challenge Week 4 update. <Deep Breath> This week was all about the walls. If you are new here, WELCOME! Here is a quick recap to catch you up.

Week 1/ Week 2/ Week 3.

Last week the mural from Anewall arrived, and after a few mishaps, we got it up. I LOVE it! It feels perfect for a Lake House.

It was easy to hang once I got the hang of it.

This wall is actually the dining area which runs straight into a galley kitchen and ends with a breakfast nook and bookshelves. The bookshelves are one of my favorite design features about the house, but I’ve always felt like they are just floating there. I wanted to add some color. If you follow me on Instagram (It’s where I share all kinds of stuff), I posted several polls in my stories asking for help with what to do. Paint? A fun Wallpaper print? I was up for anything but grey. So what did I choose???

Yep, I did it. I went with grey. In my defense, I do love grey. I was just thinking greens or blues. But once I saw this color on the wall at my youngest daughter’s house, I was in love! I quickly tried the color here, and it worked so grey it is! We are changing the light out next week.

That’s it for this week. We have to tile the backsplash and figure out the top of the bar counter (it was too much wood, so I need something else) and then add all the fun stuff. Fingers crossed, we may finish this thing yet!

In the meantime, stop over to see some of the featured designers here and my fellow participants’ guest participants here.

That’s all for this week! Still, lots to do.

Until next time,

-Libbie

      Thanks Stephanie!

No way could I have painted an ombrè wall. It took FOREVER to get the bookcase done. I am a very S L O W painter. 😉

You are so inspiring! I have a 1,001 home projects I have on my list and seeing you get stuff DONE is so motivating for me! I can’t believe that blue art is wall paper – it’s so gorgeous! I love how it pairs with your light fixture! And the grey you chose in your bookshelf – is my favorite shade!! I have that similar shade painted in my foyer and it makes me so happy every time I enter! Can’t wait to see more!
