A simple and pretty DIY Clay Christmas Ornament

Hello there!

I’ve decided to pop in to quickly and share with you the easy DIY clay ornaments I made with my daughters over Thanksgiving weekend. These air-dried DIY clay ornaments were so simple to make! We loved how pretty they turned out. In fact, I love them so much I am going to host some friends next week for a craft and wine party!

What is Air Dry Clay?

Air Dry clay is the perfect medium for beginning crafters. It is lightweight and dries without heat (which is why these Christmas Ornaments are so easy to make). It is very easy to manipulate and doesn’t crumble or shrink.

What you will need:

Alphabet Stamps

Air Hardening Modeling Clay One package made 10 ornaments.

Cutting Board

Metallic Paint

Paint Brush

Ribbon

Leather Strips

Rolling Pin

GLASS OR SMALL JAR

Crafting your Ornaments

To craft your ornaments start by rolling out the clay on the cutting board (about 1/8 in thick).

Use the jar to cut out your circles.

Using the end of one of the paintbrushes make a holes for hanging.

Using the stamps personalize your Christmas Ornaments. To do this place your stamp where you’d like it and press gently.

Embellish with paint (If you’d like).

Let air dry for 36-48 hours -I flipped mine after 12 hours and it helped them dry faster.

Add ribbon, leather or twine for hanging.
