Renovation Chaos

We returned home from our mini-vacation to Portland to have the reality of how far behind we were set in.

In a BIG way!

Let’s peek at all the projects that are in process.

Renovation chaos is real, folks!

The backsplash and countertops are the only 100% finished projects.

We are almost finished with the floors.

So I am calling that 99% done.

All but sealing the grout.

The tile makes my heart happy!

Paint projects galore

We’ve started the kitchen cabinets.

First, we taped off windows and counters and such with trusty Frog Tape (Thanks for sponsoring the challenge!).

Thank you, FROGTAPE!

We then cleaned (TSP is your best friend here) then we primed all the cabinets.

Priming the cabinets and taped off the backsplash so we can spray the walls.

Next, we started painting the lower cabinet doors and boxes with the most beautiful blue- Mariner by Pratt and Lambert, who sponsored the paint for our kitchen renovation.

Pratt & Lambert Aquanamel paint in Mariner Blue.
Mariner by Pratt and Lambert is a GORGEOUS blue!

Pratt and Lambert’s Aquanamel line is a dream to work with.

At this point, we are in divide and conquer mode.

We also started painting our walls.

Told you, total renovation chaos.

LOL.

I choose Bright White (WHO1) for the walls as the house is very dark, and I want to lighten it as much as possible.

The trim will be a cream color yet to be chosen.

We decided because time is of the essence here that we would make the job go quicker if we used a paint sprayer from Wagner, also a Renovation Challenge sponsor, and all I can say is THANK GOODNESS.

We are spraying the walls with Designer White from Pratt and Lambert with our Wagner Sprayer.

If you have not used a sprayer before, I love how it enables you to make quick work of a project.

This is the Wagner Flexio 3500, and it is ahhhhmazing.
